NLP Theatre Company`s anti-sectarian play Singin` I`m No a Billy, He`s a Tim takes in sectarianism, racism, religion, family splits and Donald Finlay impressions and all of this helps to educate as well as entertain.

NLP have now designed and developed an interactive anti-sectarian drama workshop that explores opinions and perspectives of bigotry, sectarianism and ethnic identity in Scotland as well as with a more robust politics of humanity and class.

Workshop leaders engage participants in discussions about the play, focusing on the views expressed in the play by the characters (Billy &,Tim), and consider how the young men have picked up their personal attitudes, views and beliefs through family and society.

The workshops draw out personal attitudes, views and experiences while encouraging participants to challenge sectarianism in their own lives and in wider society.

The participants get the chance to act out scenes from the play and perform on stage with professional actors. Our workshops are available to schools, youth groups and organisations.

For more information on our anti-sectarian workshops or to book a performance and/or workshop please contact Scott Kyle.
